I was convinced I wanted to get the BB Total Latex but due to some unforeseen medical expenses I need to save some money. I am looking at the the 12" Bamboo Bliss now. I was originally staying away from memory foam because of the high VOCs but I am unsure about this now. Does Brooklyn Bedding’s memory foam have the high VOC content that I’ve been trying to avoid? Does anyone have this mattress with some feedback to share?
Also, on another note, can I use my existing box spring with my new mattress?
Thanks!
Hi britras,
Don’t forget that some of the most harmful VOC’s can’t be smelled at all … but the foams used in the BB mattresses and Brooklyn Bedding itself is CertiPur certified (you can see what CertiPur tests for here**[/url]) so they would be “safe” by most people’s definition yes.

Hopefully some of the forum members that see this can also share there experiences with any odor.
You can see the Brooklyn Bedding guidelines here so if it is a box spring (with springs) then they strongly discourage it but if it is a foundation not a box spring (with a firm non flexible surface and no springs) then it would likely be fine as long as it meets the requirements.
