Hi. My husband and I are side sleepers at 150 and 125 pounds, both very sensitive to pressure on hips and shoulders.We’ve been sleeping on our king size duo memory foam plus for a few weeks now. I don’t hate it, but I really don’t love it. It’s a little bit hot, I feel stuck in the memory foam, and I’m just not excited to get in bed at night. Well made but not luxe feeling to me. At this point, I’d rather spend more and get exactly what I like, but first I’d like to know if we can make engineered sleep work for us. It’s such a great company, and I’m very much over the search.
I’m a latex fan, but I also like a little bit softer bed, and the memory Duo plus was the best bed for pressure relief that they offer. I’m concerned that the duo latex plus won’t offer the softness or pressure relief. And they are so nice, I feel weird jerking them around and ordering a new component when I may dang well return the whole thing.
Right now our old queen bed is still more comfortable to me. That bed is just a crappy old nectar mattress with a 2 inch soft talalay topper on it. I don’t want to just throw a topper on the memory foam plus because I’m trying to keep the bed at a reasonable height. And if it’s my new bed, I want it to be nice and not frankensteined. I can pay over $2500, but I want a bed that just works and I don’t have to keep modifying.
Other beds we liked in the store were the Naturepedic EOS pillow top and the avocado green ultra plush box top. Both are more expensive beds. How different is engineered sleep duo latex from these, when you really look at the components?
