Can putting new coils into my unzippable mattress make it warmer?

I bought new coils for my unzippable Naturepedic EOS mattress to make it a little firmer. Now it feels like it’s a little warmer, though it might just be me because I’ve never heard of a mattress feeling warmer because of the coils being replaced. Is it possible for new coils to make the mattress warmer?

I cant say it is a common occurrence for a change in coils to can cause a change in heat regulation, although there are a couple of things that could happen in conduction with a new set of coils in the mattress.
If the new coils are made from a different material or have a different design, they might affect heat distribution or retention. For example x and y coil design verses honeycomb design.

The way the coils interact with the mattress’s comfort layers could influence airflow. If the new coils are stiffer, they might compress the top layers differently, potentially affecting breathability. I suppose it is possible, but making a discernible difference is questionable. Then again if the compression of the comfort layers causes a more compact comfort layer, it may restrict air flow.

I suspect that a change in springs, leading to a change in foam compression, causing a change in “feel” could lead to a perception of change in temperature.
