I am pretty sure I have read your entire site and several others in an attempt to gain all the information I can to help me choose a new mattress. I am located in Louisiana and have tried what mattresses are available locally (the main big name brands and one furniture store had Scandinavian). I have not been impressed with them or with the information provided on their websites.
I’ve come across the Charles P. Rogers site and have been emailing with someone there (William). He has been fantastic and has answered at least 30 questions. He has sent me the warranty info, mattress spec info, thickness of layers, innerspring unit info, and more. I am looking at the Powercore Estate 7000 and the Powercore Nano. I really like the latex as the comfort layer and the innersprings as the support layer. I am hoping that the latex will help with my husband who sleeps so hot.
Here is my info:
Me: female, age 53, 5’ 3", 200 pounds, side sleeper, toss and turn, having numbness and pain in hip and leg almost every night (ie the tossing and turning)
Spouse: male, age 54, 5’ 11", 260 pounds, stomach sleeper, sometimes back, sleeps very hot
Current mattress: King Serta Perfect Sleeper 2 sided innerspring mattress…13 or 14 years old.
My concerns are about buying something from so far away without having the chance to try it first. I was wondering if you would have any information about any companies closer to my area that might give be better options.

If you can’t find any local retailers with products that meet your demands, then I would look online and use the experience and expertise of the members listed in this post who are all very experienced and knowledgeable and specialize in providing the type of help and guidance on the phone that can help you make good choices. There are a wide range of latex, memory foam and other options included in the choices there and I believe that all of them compete well with the best in the industry in terms of their quality, value, service, and transparency.
Their detailed knowledge of their mattresses and how they fit with different body types and sleeping positions along with your feedback from local testing, a customer base of many people that they can use as reference points, and any exchange, return, or any options they have available to customize a mattress after a purchase can help lower the risk of an online purchase. These online retailers or manufacturers can also be a good “value reference” for local purchases to make sure that if you are paying a “premium” for a local purchase (in exchange for the kind of “in person” guidance, service, and value that comes with dealing with a local retailer that can help you make more “accurate” choices that you have tested in person) is not too high.

Well, tomorrow is the big day. I took a chance and ordered the Charles P. Rogers Powercore Nano, and it will be delivered tomorrow. I am excited and nervous. They have a 30 night sleep guarantee (30-90 days exchange window) which is good. Shipping was free, but return shipping is on the customer if you want to return or exchange. I am hoping we like it!
