Connecting Adjustable Bases

I have a question about adjustable bases. Can you connect a Serta adjustable base and a Tempurpedic adjustable base (both twin XL) to work as one adjustable base? We bought a king (tempurpedic) king size mattress (XL) and I found a great deal on these two bases but have no idea how to connect them to work as one.

Hi 76Roo,

Unless the adjustable bases are fundamentally made by the same manufacturor, and an identical or very similar model, I would hazard a guess it’s not possible to link them.

Adjustable bases aren’t all the same, and among other things they move / adjust to different angles and operate at different speeds. Even if you could overcome the control problem, they would likely not stay in unison.

Now, if both Serta and tempurpedic rebrand the same model, then your chances are better than you can link them.

Thank you, that’s very helpful. How would I go about finding out if they are made by the same manufacturer?

You’d probably need to ask someone who knows each of the products you’ve bought, and it might vary by region, I don’t know.

I know when I was shopping, Serta was (according to at least 1 sales person) a rebranded L&P, and tempurpedic was a different brand. I didn’t investigate beyond that myself.

Hi 76Roo,

Just to reinforce what dn has said … the two adjustables would need to be a paired unit to be able to syc the operation of both units at the same time to a single remote control.

Serta adjustables are made by Ergomotion and the Tempurpedic adjustables are made by Reverie so they would not be compatible.
