Hi All,
We have a 22-month kid and do not want a bed that is too high in case co-sleeping. The bed we have requires boxing system for the mattress by Cozypure king size mattress that we plan to buy. Could anyone of you confirm if we can use Ikea SULTAN LAXEBY, as advertised here: Products - IKEA
thanks a lot!
Hi shengoguo,
If the Laxeby fits your bed without shifting and is strongly supported by rails on the side and a center beam in the middle (with support to the floor) so that the load bearing surfaces can support the weight of you and your mattress combined without sagging then it should be fine.
I would also be aware that with flexible slats under your mattress that the flex of the slats may change the feel or performance of your mattress compared to any testing you did on a solid non flexing support system which is normally used for latex mattresses. This may be beneficial or detrimental depending on how it affects the pressure relief and support of your mattress. The Laxeby also has the option of fine tuning your mattress by making some of the slat sections firmer or softer which can be used to fine tune your mattress although this feature may not have as much effect on a thicker latex mattress as it would on a mattress that was a little thinner.
If you are ever in doubt about a foundation then itβs also a good idea to check with the manufacturer (Cozy Pure) to make sure that the foundation meets their warranty criteria.

Hi Phoenix,
Thanks a lot for your quick reply. Will check out with Cozy Pure tomorrow to see what they might recommend. I will also put the information as followup for this thread.
Good night!
