Greetings, I’m a 6’1", 190lb side sleeper. I like the feel of a cushion firm mattress. I found a shop with 2.8lb density Polyfoam and I’m thinking the more 2.8 the better for durability (my other options are 2.4 and 1.8). So if I go with all 2.8lb foam my questions are: how many inches thick, which ILD range should I be in and finally do I need a couple different ILD layers or can I just go with one ILD for all the Polyfoam ?

Youre making a full foam mattress? It is best to go in increments.
Have you really slept on a cushion firm mattress for 6 hours, not just the feel. Side sleepers like plush mattress. Plush = 12 ILD; firm = 32 ILD. Cushion firm = 28 ILD That’s how I look at it.
