DIY all latex build adjustments

Hey there,

I am 6 ft, 230 lbs, curvy, and I think I have higher lumbar support needs than average. I am a side/stomach sleeper. I built this:

3" 46 ILD Dunlop Latex from SleeponLatex
3" 34 ILD Dunlop Latex from SleeponLatex
2" 20 ILD Dunlop Latex from SleeponLatex
2" of Serene Foam

It was too soft. I sink through the comfort layers pretty easily. I took out the 20 ILD dunlop, and it’s almost good for stomach sleeping, but definitely too firm without that layer.

My first thought is to get a 2" layer of 28 ILD Talalay to replace the 20 ILD. Or potentially a 3" and replace both comfort layers with it. I generally like the serene foam, but mainly want that elusive lumbar support.

Are either of these a good path forward? Or should I consider something else?

Hi mycodelirium and welcome to the forums! My though is to keep it simple and change the 20 ILD Dunlop to 28 ILD Talalay.

Might I add that the 3" #28 would be best overall especially for long term durability. The Serene foam won’t last nearly as long.
