Email sent. I purchased a mattress so you should have my address but I sent it to you just in case. Thanks!
Ok, thank you!
Can you discuss the pros and cons of your Adjustable Ultra Plush vs. one of your mattresses consisting of softer springs with a plush topper? I prefer a soft mattress, weigh 167 lbs, a side sleeper, need shoulder/hip pressure relief and I sleep way too hot on my current memory foam queen mattress. From what I’ve read, some say springs give more cooling. I’m more than ready for a change and want to get it right the first time. I like what I’ve seen/heard about you and your company, and would greatly value your recommendations, please. Thank you.
I would recommend all latex for a side sleeper since I am one myself. It can contour to your body curves better than a spring and thus reduces pressure points better. I normally recommend going with the Medium Talalay cores and upgrade the topper from the default 2" to the 3" #19 so you get an extra inch of cushion over the cores. I don’t notice any difference in breatheability between the springs and the all latex. Latex is open cell foam and as such breathes extremely well.
Thank you for your prompt reply and recommendations. I placed my order this evening, and am looking forward to many years of restful sleep. What type mattress protector/pad do you suggest I get?
Thank you for the order. Here is the link to the mattress pads and protectors. I like the all cotton one from Amazon - Mattress Protectors and Sheets, Latex Mattress Accessories and Platforms
I am jumping into this discussion and apologize. I am very grateful for all the information on TMU where I have spent weeks reading the Tutorials, posts and many, many links. First, my statistics: 5’1’, BMI 18, age - vintage, and a side sleeper mostly, with lower back issues. I eliminated latex mattresses due to their weight - I’d never be able to rotate one by myself and would rather stay away from the memory or poly foams. I’ve pretty much settled on either a Pocket Coil or a Bonnell Latex Hybrid with zipper cover or a spring mattress for support with a latex topper for comfort. Phoenix suggested this combination as the soft topper necessary for my size and weight can be replaced easily when no longer comfortable. With either choice the height limit is 12" I’ve gone to 3 of the local big box mattress retailers, a local business and Good Morning Mattress and not been able find this combination to try. Now I’m frustrated. At Good Morning Mattress, I tried the:
Jamison Opulence Plush which was good but not enough pressure relief for shoulders
2" Talalay 19 ILD
Well we have 2 models with pocket coil springs and 3" of latex. Our Eco Sleep is available with 3" of #19 Eco Sleep Hybrid Latex / Pocket Coil Mattress, Latex Mattresses-Talalay and Dunlop, All Products, which I think would work best for you. Our Ultimate Hybrid Ultimate Hybrid- Pocket Coil/Latex is a step up both in number of coils and it uses all natural latex which is also available in Plush. If the Jamison had another inch of latex it probably would have been much better. 2" over a pocket coil just isn’t enough.
