DIY Latex Hybrid - Slightly Adjusting the Saatva style?

Hello.

Today me and my girlfriend stopped by a Saatva store to try their hybrid latex, which is 8" pocketed coil base, 3" dunlop latex, and a cotton top. I called Saatva and they said their latex was about 23-24 ILD.

Coming from a memory foam mattress, my partner and I wanted something a bit softer than this, based on what we felt. I was considering sort of copying that setup but instead of a 3" 24 ILD dunlop latex layer, I would try a 2" 28 ILD dunlop underneath a 2" 19 ILD Talalay to get us a bit closer to the left of softness we were looking for without compromising our support. So it would look a bit like this:

Comfort Layer: 2" Soft (#19) Blended Talalay
Transition Layer: 2" Medium (#28) Dunlop
Support Layer: 8" Quantum Edge Elite Bolsa

Would this likely accomplish the right feel based on the above?

Yes however if you both are mostly side sleepers I would go with 3" of soft instead of just 2".

Thanks for the feedback! We tend to be combo sleepers, she’s even sometimes a stomach sleeper.
