The Saga is over! Now have my DIY Latex Mattress. Here are the components:
6" King Dunlop Latex 44ILD
3" King Dunlop Latex 30 ILD
3" King Talatech blended latex 24ILD
12"x2" King Diamond quilted encasement
Sleeptite 5 sided mattress protector
14" Bamboo/Cotton zippered cover
I didn’t want a thiick mattress pad just thin protection to not take away from the feel of the bed. Also wanted the protection layers to fully encase the mattress because we have an adjustable frame and well I didn’t want to keep tucking things in.
The feel of the mattress with all components in place is medium. Before the Diamond encasement it was a med/soft…
The producets were purchased from Sleep On Latex, Sleep Like A Bear, and the Diamond quilted encasement was from Foam Order. Love it btw.
About $2200 total, so quite a bit of savings and it was a very interesting and enlightening experience 
Now we’ve only slept on it for a few nights but I think I nailed it lol. Love it!
Wanted to let everyone know that in my previous post I had mentioned I was returning my Dreamfoam mattress. Not because it was an inferior product, just did not support my 270lb Husband. Anyway Chuck at Dreamfoam was so nice to work with on the return. He took care of getting it picked up and shipped back. All I had to do was slide on one of those plastice shipping bed bags. Great Service!!
