This site seems to be a very useful resource. My fiance and I are mattress shopping and we need all the help we can get. Weāve already been to a large retailer, but I think weāll be checking out one of the local stores that are affiliated with The Mattress Underground to see if we can find a better mattress at a more reasonable price.

Thanks for all of the info on your site. My wife and I are in search of two mattresses. Instead of buying a split King frame we bought two Full XL frames (Leggett & Platt Prodigy). We bought a couple of Serta Savant mattresses but ended up having to send them back. We are both plus size people and did not like how we sunk into the mattress. Also after about a month, certain places in the bed felt lumpy and harder than other spots. We ended up hating our mattresses.
After reading a lot of reviews on your site, we have just about made up our minds to get an all latex mattress from Brooklyn Bedding in the talalay. My biggest concerns are: 1. Myself being a little over 300 lbs., which firmness would be best? (I like softness on top, but having lots of support to keep from āsinking downā into the mattress). And 2. Will the 10" all latex work well with my Prodigy adjustable frame?

There are some guidelines in post #3 here and the posts it links to that may be useful for those that are in higher weight ranges but the best way to decide on which option or firmness choices would likely be best for you with an online purchase would be with a more detailed conversation with the manufacturer. They will be the best source of guidance and will know more about their own mattresses, the options they have available, and helping to āmatchā their mattresses to different body types and sleeping positions than anyone else ā¦ (see mattress firmness/comfort levels in post #2 here).
Yes ā¦ latex is very flexible and bends very easily and is among the best choices for an adjustable bed.

Thanks for your quick response! I did just as you suggested and talked with Brooklyn Bedding in detail about our needs when it comes to which firmness better fits my wife and I. They were very helpful and informative. We have ordered two of the total latex mattresses in talalay and are excited about receiving them! Thanks again for your site and your help!

Yep and thatās why we went! Didnāt meet Rick but worked Wayne. He was friendly, thoughtful and helpful. We told him our goals/wants. We knew we wanted innerspring and we told him we were flexible on budget. He steered us to two reasonably priced mattresses that were good, showed us how they were constructed. Then in talking a bit more, he realized we werenāt opposed to spending more. So he took us up to a higher end mattress and it was perfect. But I respected he didnāt start us at the most expensive on the floor! I sold mattresses for a couple years once upon a time in another life but it has all changed since then, so between the invaluable research and info here and the pleasant experience at Fox, Iām a very happy buyer! Easiest mattress shopping Iāve had to do! And I already shared the link to here with my friends on fb. Iāll be sure to post updates once the bed is delivered and then a bit after as well! Thanks again, Phoenix! Without this site I would have never heard of fox mattress!
