DreamFoam 12 in 1 Customizable Mattress

Hi jaymax-az,

I moved my comments and your reply to a new thread so that the information about the Dreamfoam 12 in 1 was easier to find and not mixed in with another thread.

Congratulations on your new mattress

I’m really looking forward to your feedback since it’s a brand new mattress and you are the first forum member I’m aware of to purchase it.

I’d be curious what your thoughts are as well jaymax-az. I just saw this today on amazon and it looked promising. Decent price for a nice zippered cover and a bit more formidable than the crazy quilt options from BB (worried about the lower density foams and my personal weight). I wish they would include a bit more info, in terms of being forthcoming with densities and such in their descriptions. I guess my email to them is already answered, since I wrote to ask about it. Wanted to like the 12 in 1 but if it was the same 1.5lb foam was going to pass on it. 2lb foam sounds much more promising.

On an unrelated note, I so wish the rain would stop - my new bed becoming a reality is dependent on decent weather to build a frame and it just won’t dry out lol.

Hello all Sorry for the delay I spent the last week and a half on my new DreamFoam 12 in 1 Mattress, and can say I’m happy with my purchse. The bed comes with three layers of three levels of firmness firm, medium, and soft bottom to top, the bed as it came was too soft, so I swapped the middle (medium) with the top (soft) it was easy and took about 5 minutes, and now I have firm, soft, medium (bottom to top) giving me the softness and level of support I need. overall quality is excellent, and I’m sleeping very well through the night. I will say that although I did not have a hard time figuring out how to make the mattress firmer, I think a set of instructions would be helpful to some.

Hi jaymax-ax,

Thanks for the update and for sharing your experiences … I appreciate it … especially since you are the first to provide feedback about the 12 in 1 on the forum.

It’s also great to see that you were able to find the best layering combination for you so quickly.

I also agree that some general instructions to help customize the mattress in different ways would probably be helpful although they would also be available to provide assistance on the phone.

Thanks again for the feedback

Thanks for the update jaymax-az, it sounds nice being able to adjust firmness in a more budget friendly bed. From the photos shown, it looks like the cover is really nice, like a tight top/plush - since you have the actual mattress, does it have a similar surface on both sides? Or is there a definite ‘top’ and ‘bottom’? The description says it’s a dual sided mattress for better durability but not sure if that means it’s flippable or if it’s referring to being able to unzip and flip or rearrange the layers once in awhile (as opposed to flipping the whole unit). Glad you’re happy with it

Hi brass,

I’m not jaymax-ax of course (and hopefully he will see your post and add some comments) but I can add some information that may be helpful.

Each side of the cover has a different quilting pattern and one side has a firmer quilting and the other has a softer quilting for two different “feels”. There are 3 layers that are each colored differently which each have different firmness levels so there are 6 possible combinations of layering possible which with the two different quilting patterns provides 12 possible combinations (6 with each side of the cover on top).

There would definitely be a difference on each side no matter which arrangement you used for the layers if you just flipped the mattress over.

You can flip the layers individually which would have some effect on durability but once you find the “best” combination of layers I think that most people would keep the combination that worked best for them rather than flipping the mattress (although they may reverse the cover with the same order of layers). You can also replace individual layers like any component mattress if the top layer softens before the others.
