Engineered sleep classic vs DLX classic

Who has had these and can comment on them!

I’m 5 ft 7 185 strict back sleeper want firm support for lumber due to degenerative disc

My girl is 5 ft 6 150 strict side sleeper with fibromyalgia and very sensitive joints

Would probably add topper to her side going to spend 1k to 1.5k on a good quality innerspring style mattress.

Really liked tempur but man that’s way out of budget

Thanks for reaching out. Both of the mattresses you’re considering are great options. There really isn’t one that’s clearly better or worse. It comes down more to personal preference.

The main thing to keep in mind is that if you pick one and it doesn’t feel right, you’ll probably wish you had gone with the other. That said, because the designs are fairly similar, if one doesn’t work for you, it’s likely the other wouldn’t have been the right fit either.

Since you mentioned liking Tempur-Pedic but it being out of budget, one option to get closer to that feel would be to use either mattress as your base and then add a Tempur-Pedic topper. It won’t be exactly the same as a complete Tempur-Pedic hybrid mattress, but it can put you in the ballpark.

Man that’s a wonderful idea! Which one would you recommend for someone like me who will use it with a topper

I’ll stick with what we know best our mattresses.
In most cases, we would recommend the Essential if you are planning to add a topper. Since it is a two-sided mattress and has less padding on each side, it provides firmer support and better edge support.
Keep in mind that with chronic back pain and fibromyalgia, it might take some trial and error to find the right setup.
I also forgot to mention that if you loved the Tempur-Pedic without springs (not a hybrid), this may not be the best solution. Foam-core style mattresses provide a different level of support compared to a pocket coil, spring, or hybrid mattress.

I need a mattress with the coils it really helps with support. We had a nectar and a sealy all foam and I HATED it the coils allow me to lay more “on” the mattress
