Feedback on "Restmore" or other non-foam mattresses

We live in Winnipeg (Canada) and are wondering if anyone has recently purchased a Restore mattress as we are in the market for a new one. Do they manufacture under their “Restmore” name or others as well? Also, due to back, hip and shoulder problems my physiotherapist has advised that we purchase a more traditional mattress with little (1" only) or no foam. Any suggestions on who makes “old fashion” non-foam mattresses that can be purchased in Canada?

Hey Sandra C.,

Welcome to the Mattress Underground  ! Thanks for your question.

Congrats on your new mattress shopping journey  ! I am sorry to hear of your ongoing back, hip and shoulder problems, those must be frustrating for you (and tiring from a sleep interruption point, no doubt). Hopefully with the support of your physiotherapist’s advice, as well as the correct mattress, you will be on the path to a better night’s sleep.

Thanks for considering trusted member Restmore Bedding, they are an excellent factory direct manufacturer offering standard size mattresses as well as custom DIY builds, I regard them highly in terms of quality, expertise and customer satisfaction. You may use the forum to ask specific questions to Restmore Bedding, we will help you connect with one of their team if you like. Bonus perk of TMU Consumer membership: as a subscriber who has asked at least one question of the forum (and your question here counts), as a Thank You, you are entitled to a small TMU discount code offered by participating trusted members! You may also find this "Restmore mattress"site search link interesting as it holds a number of consumer’s experiences with either the manufacturer or their mattresses.

For clarity, I don’t make recommendations for stores unless they are a vetted member of the TMU. This practice creates confusion with consumer subscribers who incorrectly assumed that these businesses had gone through the strict qualification process and were approved as members of The Mattress Underground. However, other consumers following your post may chime in and offer their thoughts, we have many Canadian subscribers here researching mattresses along with you  . Here are a couple of Phoenix articles you may find useful, "Mattress Shopping Guidelines: Finding the Best Quality and Value"offers a wealth of shopping tips and "Finding a Great Mattress Outlet"provides guidance for working with a manufacturer. Good luck with your research and hope this helps  .

Thanks,
