My husband and I purchased a firm bedding set made by one of the big S manufacturers and were unhappy with it. The “comfort layer” made of some type of memory/polyfoam was compressing almost right away. My husband wasn’t too bothered but I couldn’t sleep. We were lucky the store we bought it from allowed us to return it. We didn’t want memory foam and all the beds we looked at seemed like they would end up with the same issue.
After much research and reading the great information on this website (I had never even thought of buying from a local bed manufacturer until reading about it here) we decided to go with latex and located a manufacturer in our state that made their own beds - Comfort Sleep Systems. We have had the bed a week now. It is super comfortable and we are both sleeping like babies.
