Flexus Comfort Unboxing...finally made the purchase.

It’s been three years of lurking, reading, and saving our pennies to buy our first latex mattress. I’d like to thank the mattress industry for multiple crappy mattresses, pillow tops, memory foam toppers, and featherbeds to help us arrive at today!

On a not so sarcastic note, a genuine thank you to Pheonix and everyone who takes the time to post input here!

My three finalists came down to Cozypure, Flexus Comfort, and Savvy Rest. My better half really likes soft, so Talalay was a requirement after testing some options. We didn’t have a chance to visit Cozypure which could have made our decision different, but didn’t want to risk the Dunlop not being soft enough. I still hope to buy some of their other products because it all looks amazing. Savvy Rest was a great place to try options since it was local, but could not justify the price against Flexus Comfort. I’d pay more to support a local vendor, but not double. I’ve never tested the Flexus, so let’s keep our fingers crossed that the latex types we have tested are indeed similar.

We went with two layers of Dunlop on the bottom for support, we had each layer cut in two to give us options in case we need to swap something, and the top layer is one piece of soft Talalay.

I was trying to think of a post to give back to the community. I figured pictures of the Flexus Comfort unboxing might be the best contribution I could make since I hadn’t come across too many pictures in my research. Our new bed frame hasn’t arrived, so we’re currently sleeping on the floor…

UPS dropped off three large boxes:

Took the latex layers out…

Put the mattress cover down…

Put the first piece down…

The first layer is in…

Put the second layer in…

Put the final layer on…

Let’s zip up that cover…

Time for a nap…

I have to twist my head to see the pics correctly. :frowning: Other than that, good stuff! B)

I’ve tried uploading new pics but can’t seem to update or reply with new fixed images, can’t delete and post again either, unless someone has suggestions…

Meh, it’s not a big deal!

Hi Contentt,

Thanks for taking the time to let us know what you ended up deciding, for sharing your comments and feedback, and for the pictures as well … I appreciate it!

Most importantly … I think you made a great quality/value choice and congratulations on your new mattress

I downloaded the images, rotated them, renamed them, deleted your images from the post, and then reattached the new ones so they are the right way up now.

The forum only allows 9 attachments so if you try and add more than that then it won’t work.
