Flipping Latex Talalay

Hello Phoenix,

I have a 3 week old, 3-layer Talalay, 10 inch Latex mattress with a zipper cover. Is it necessary to rotate and flip Latex Talalay layers? The Latex retailers on their websites say no to flipping on Latex, but over time can using gravity help prolong the life of the Latex Talalay layers? Thank you.

Hi NoMoreSprings,

It’s not necessary since latex is such a durable material but it can be a good idea to turn and flip the layers over once or twice a year to help even out the wear patterns in the long term … particularly in the comfort layers that are more subject to wear and tear.
