Flobeds vZone with Adjustable Base?

Hi everyone,

We are shopping for a new mattress and have decided to consider an adjustable power base. We’re narrowing our search to latex mattresses now and Flobeds is a top contender.

Has anyone had experience with a Flobeds vZone mattress on a power base? If not, then how about the Flobeds Deluxe or other brands of “movable layer” latex mattresses?

Thanks in advance for your advice!

Hi teampants,

Hopefully some of the members here that own a Flobed vZone or other component latex mattresses will see your post and share their comments.

In general terms … latex is very “sticky” and doesn’t tend to shift inside a mattress with a suitable tight fitting cover in normal use (which would include using it on an adjustable base) so in most cases there would be little risk of the layers in a component latex mattress shifting to any significant degree and if for some reason they do shift over a period of time then with a zip cover it’s a simple matter to unzip the cover and “wave” them back into position again. The chance of any layer shifting can also depend to some degree on the frequency that you use your adjustable bed. There is more about the pros and cons of a finished mattress with glued layers and a component mattress with a zip cover and loose layers in post #2 here and the posts it links to.

You are certainly looking at a great quality/value choice and I know that many of their customers are using the vZone mattress on an adjustable bed (which they will also confirm when you talk with them as well).

I’m looking forward to finding out what you end up deciding
