I bought a dream foam mattress from amazon this week. I knew it was a low end version, but looked like they had good density foam so I figured it would be OK (it’s for my toddler). It says it’s a 9" euro top. I have had it out of the packaging for 2 days and it hasn’t expanded on the corners and sides. It feels really compressed and hard. It slopes off to all sides. Is this common, or its it possible I have a defective one? Maybe it sat in a warehouse too long? I did buy from Amazon.

It’s certainly not common but it looks like your mattress is defective and I would talk with Amazon about replacing it.

They sent me a new mattress which is perfect!!! It took a few days and emails back and forth, but really painless. Donated the defective one to charity.
