This forum provides full public access to all of its content and anyone can search the forum for any information posted here but to start a new topic with questions and comments, reply to a post, or receive the discounts or bonuses that are provided by the retailers or manufacturers that are members of the site requires registration and membership in the forum. This is to prevent spam from anonymous posters and spambots.
HOW TO REGISTER ON THE FORUM:
Navigate on Mattress Forum > Log In > Create your account
This will bring you to the Create an account dialog box
The username field is the one that will appear on the forum. I would also make sure that you don’t use an email address. Usernames are public and are harvested by spambots and any emails found are added to various lists used to spam.
The email field is not visible and is used to send you the activation link and any notifications about replies to your posts or any other “Track” or “Watch” actions of your choice.
Once you clicked the Create your account button an email with an activation link will be sent promptly. Make sure to check your email or check your spam folder if you don’t see it in your inbox in a couple of minutes.
Once you have confirmed your registration you will be able to log in and start new topics by clicking the “new topic” button. You can also reply to any post you are reading by clicking the “reply” button.

SEARCHING THE SITE AND THE FORUM:
There are two search engines used on the site.
The search bar on The Mattress Underground website will search through all articles.
The Forum search widget in the top right corner on every page of our Mattress Forum
Once the first five suggestions show in the search popup, you can click More to see all results and refine the search if you need to.
- General search for posts containing all the words but not necessarily the exact phrase
- To search for exact phrases include the search phrase between quotation marks.
- Click Advanced filters to select other filtering options. (by topic title, by user, etc.)
Other modalities of searching
You can use a google site search which will search all of the pages of the complete site (including the forum) that google has indexed. To do this you can type site:www.themattressunderground.com then a space and then the phrase you are searching for in quotes. For example … site:www.themattressunderground “local manufacturer” … will bring up any indexed pages in the main site or the forum that includes “local manufacturer” as an exact phrase but it will also only show the first few lines of each result.
If you wish to search only through the forum postings then you can use the following formula:
site:themattressunderground.com/mattress-forum "keywords"
ADDING ATTACHMENTS:
- To add an image just copy & paste it into the text editor. It will be uploaded automatically.
- To upload an image from your device click the upload image button in the rich content editor top bar.
- To add a video just copy & paste the video URL
- We are working on allowing attachments such as pdf, word, and other types of documents.
