Free for a DIY project in PDX - Coils and Latex layer from a Sleep EZ hybrid

It is a bit of a long story, but we bought a Sleep EZ hybrid and found pretty quickly that it wasn’t for us (we went full latex). We opened the mattress up to pull out one latex layer to use a soft layer in our net DIY mattress.

Now we have a set of springs glued to a approx 1.5 inch latex layer to get rid of. We also have the full natural cover, if you want to sew it back together. It has been slept on for about 4 weeks total.

I’d love to give it away, rather than pay to have it recycled.

We’re in SE Portland, Oregon. I’m not up for shipping, just having it picked up.

Hi Ckot,
Welcome to the Mattress UnderGround.

That if very thoughtful of you to offer to give the components away.

Did you consult with Sleepez regarding your purchase? It is too late now, perhaps they may have been able to assist you with completing your DIY.

In any case, good luck with the DIY project.

Maverick.

Complicated story, but we decided to harvest bits of this one instead of going that route. They had already sent us two, because the first one had some (severe) cover damage (we gave it away). We felt bad that we hadn’t tested with the damaged one before having them send a replacement.
