Hey guys I have a futon shop and soaring hearts natural mattress company near me. Would you say these are good quality long lasting options, or should I stick to looking at futons made officially from Japan, or try the DIY route and make a bed that is firm enough for me?
Thanks
Joey
Hey Jalvarez145788.
That depends! What kinds of materials are they using in their products?
This comes down to what you want/need from your mattress. You’re looking for something supportive for back pain. What else do you require from your mattress? What kinds of beds have been best for you in the past?

Hello Nikki,
I’m only looking at futons/shikibuton with 100% cotton, wool or latex. Or maybe all three. I want a FIRM bed. I have had so many different mattresses memory foam is the worst. My girl loves it and found a mattress she loves. So I said whatever and I’m sleeping on the floor with a yoga mat and a few blankets stacked up. It’s way way better than any bed I have used. BUUTTT it’s causing some pressure point pain in my upper back/ hips so I need a bit of something to relieve pressure. Thinking of the futon route to keep the “floor” support but get a bit of relief
She’s a side sleeper with fibromyalgia so she needs intense pressure relief and I need a firm hard surface. Was looking at the plank bed but again VOC and off gassing is not something I want in my bed
