Mattress Makers San Diego. They were going to send me a new coil unit and I could just put the talalay top layers in that cover and they were going to take back our coils/cover. But then I thought about it and asked if they would recommend I just get a cover with latex as the support instead of the hybrid, since we learned that motion isolation was a higher priority than a slight difference in heat for me. Ken was super helpful and they are going to send the latex and new cover and then come take the coils. I was glad to hear my experience with the coils wasn’t all in my head. The edge support at the top is softer than the adjacent main coils, and then about a foot down from the top of the bed the coils get soft again. So something must be wonky with our unit.
The all latex also gives more flexibility if I need to adjust comfort. He said worst case I could send back the cover and get two half cal king covers pretty easily which would make it a split cal king. So I feel way more comfortable with that. So hopefully we can get enough motion isolation on one mattress, but there are options if not.
