Half and half DIY queen mattress

I am very new to the mattress shopping universe. My wife likes a traditional build mattress, but I would prefer memory foam and/or latex. Is there a way to combine technologies within one queen-sized cover?

It sounds like a hybrid mattress could be a good fit for you. It has the springiness of a traditional innerspring, but the comfort layers are latex or memory foam. An example would be something like Natural Hybrid Latex from Nest Bedding, or the GhostBed 3D Matrix.

Do these seem to be along the lines of what you were hoping for, or were you envisioning a completely non-foam configuration for her side?
