Has anyone here slept on a Nectar Hybrid?

Has anyone here slept on a Nectar Hybrid? Your thoughts? Particularly on if it sleeps cool or hot or if it’s good for side sleeping.

Hi JBR2022,

Has anyone here slept on a Nectar Hybrid? Your thoughts? Particularly on if it sleeps cool or hot or if it’s good for side sleeping

The Nectar Hybrid is a 12" mattress with 2" gel memory foam of unknown density, 1" foam transition layer of unknown density, an 8" wrapped innerspring coil support layer and a 1" base foam layer - again of unknown density. While the ‘cooling cover’ and gel foam may or may not sleep hot for you specifically, it’s difficult to assess as they do not give any density or information on the foams used, which may lack sufficient density to keep you from ‘bottoming out’ on the transition foam layer and coil support layer below with your higher BMI, though strictly in terms of support, the innerspring layer should be supportive for you. Hopefully others who have had experience with this mattress can also chime in…this may work fine in the short term for you and your sleep profile, but the lack of details does raise some definite red flags regarding its durability.

The issue I have found with nectar is they source their products from all over the globe. This creates consistency issues with their product. You try one from one location and the same version does not feel the same from another location. Sources who manufacture the various layers and foams for the mattress may have some guidelines but because of the many different locations and formulations of the factories and products, it is a wonder that any two feel exactly the same.
