Has anyone reversed their latex mattress and put a soft topper on it?

I was told to use a soft 3 inch topper and flip my mattress to the firm bottom. I could expect to get several more years out of it

Is your current mattress all latex? Or would you effectively be putting the topper on the innerspring bottom?

It is all latex. The guy who sold me the mattress suggested I give that a try before buying a new one, but of course he is going to make money off the topper so he comes out to the good if it works out for me or not.
