Have Calif King base….can I put split Calif King beds on it

Hey,

I have an old California King Tempurpedic Deluxe on a Mattress Firm 600 adjustable base. The base is designed for 1 California King mattress (not a split). It has one bar at the bottom (19 inches wide). The bar is at the bottom of the base. It only has 1 bar.

Wife and I may be getting a solit California King mattress. Technically 2 matresses.

Will my current base hold the 2 mattresses adequately?

If I do need to buy a split Calif King adjustable base (with 2 bars at the bottom), where is an inexpensive place to buy a split Calif King adjustable base?

I live in Los Angeles.

Hi John.

I imagine your base would adequately hold the 2 mattresses, but this depends on a number of factors. Dimensions, weight of the mattresses, etc. I’d reach out to Mattress Firm to confirm with them.

This would also depend on the mattress. Is is the FloBeds V-Zone?
