Hi, I’m pretty new to mattress shopping. I’m a side sleeper and on the heavier side for my size. I spent about two hours mattress shopping today and found I like the firmer side of side-sleeper mattresses; in particular I really liked a Helix Twilight Luxe that I tried.
Before I go off and buy it though, I wanted a second opinion from this forum: what kind of longevity can I expect from a Helix mattress? And are there similar mattresses with a better value? I was finding it really hard to find a mattress where it felt like my spinal alignment was right.

The twilight is a medium-firm leaning firm mattress. But if you are over 200-210 lbs like me, you would be better off with the Helix Plus. The Plus uses a more robust spring support layer, using a very supportive 13.5gauge support spring system. The core Plus will be a bit firmer for back or stomach sleepers, and the Plus Luxe has a cushier cover panel for those who are side sleepers wanting extra pressure relief.
Its not as firm as the Plank Luxe, and we sleep very comfortably on our sides at 6’ 220 and 5’4 135. Which highlights everyone had their own preferences.
