Hello latex experts,
I’m hoping you can please help me. I am 5’3" 125 lbs pear shaped female looking for pain relief. I suffer from low back and hip pain. I’ve been forced to sleep on my back since November due to hip bursitis and anterior pelvic tilt. I replaced my 5 year old Beautyrest Recharge plush pillow-top hybrid in November due to deep sagging and lack of support in the lumbar region. Due to the pandemic and manufacturing backlogs on hybrid mattresses, I took a chance and purchased the Nectar Lush memory foam mattress as I needed something ASAP and couldn’t wait 8-12 weeks. Since owning this mattress I’ve now developed sciatica nerve pain and wake up in pain everyday. I feel sore, stiff, and aches in my muscles and joints every morning from neck, chest, low back, shoulder, hip, knees, legs, and tingles through my heels/toes. Pretty much everything that touches the mattress. I can barely move but after being up and stretching the pain improves throughout the day. If I had to guess I would say the mattress is perhaps a bit too firm for me. I’m wondering if a 2 or 3" inch latex topper could help me. After researching and reading forums I am torn between soft talalay latex to add softness and pressure relief or medium talalay to provide some softness and support, or soft dunlop to provide more balanced support. I’m not sure if I’m not sinking in enough in my current mattress to fully relax or if my trunk area is sinking in more than my upper body causing my body to fall out of alignment. Any insight and advice on this would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you so very much!
