I am looking for a new mattress, I am 5’2 inch, 130 lbs side sleeper. I slept on a friend’s old mattress for a week and found it very comfortable. It is around 10 years old and the tag says it is a Stearns and Foster Mary Luxury Firm. I cannot seem to find any information on it online and was wondering what mattress would be similar to it since the new Stearns and Foster models don’t seem to be the same as the old ones. I used to sleep on a Japanese 100% cotton futon with a 2 inch latex topper from Sleep On Latex but it started becoming too uncomfortable. I switched to latex topper on a Sleep on Latex all-latex mattress and it was okay but wasn’t perfect, I felt it had a little too much pushback. Previously from staying at hotels I have found the Beautyrest Black Napa Luxury Firm to be comfortable. I am currently trying an Aireloom Pacific Bay Orion Luxury Firm mattress that I found to be comfortable in store but seems way too firm and uncomfortable after sleeping on it for the first night. I would love recommendations on what type of mattress construction and models would be close to what I might like.
That Aireloom Luxury Firm is quite amazing. I would go with that. You might find it rebadged under other names, but it will contain the name Luxury Firm.
Dont buy Aireloom from Macys. It has been cheapened for Macys.

I think the Aireloom I got is also a cheapened version that was made for a regional chain mattress store so maybe that’s why it doesn’t feel great like it did in the store. But I just didn’t want to spend over $2500 on a mattress.

Instead of chasing a perfect replica, it’s best to focus on what worked about that Stearns & Foster and look for a mattress that meets those same comfort and support needs within your current budget. Since you’re on the lighter side and primarily a side sleeper, you’ll likely need a bit softer comfort layer to allow for better pressure relief around your shoulders and hips while maintaining proper alignment.

DLX - they have a classic two-sided mattress that can be useful if you’re not sure about which firmness you want (soft or medium) or just enjoy having options
