HELP! Temperpedic Return Deadline Looms!

I have $2850 x 2 in my two Tempurpedic Adapt Pro Hybrid Medium mattresses and we both hate them. They are hard and hot after about 90 days they aren’t any better.

I am crushed for time and am asking for a couple of simple recommendations.

So, we are keeping the adjustable bases, but need two Twin Xl mattresses. In our early 60s, we have good bmi, she is 5’8" at 145 and I am 6ft at 195.
We are both side sleepers and prefer a soft mattress.

I’m already considering Talalay latex from Flobeds at $1750 each, but I am out of mental energy.

Can someone please make a recommendation for us? I am done with Tempurpedic… I wanted to be a Tempurpedic fan, but it is not to be…
So, make me a fan of something else, so that I’m not just blindly hoping I like the Flobed…( I’m considering buying one, just to make sure we like it, then if it seems good, then ordering another…is this a good or bad idea, for Flobed or anyone I choose for that matter?)
The Flobeds represent a significant savings over the Tempurpedic, about $2000 total, but more importantly, we need mattresses that we like!
Maybe I’m missing something even less expensive that will make us happy… we are on the East coast…
So, ideas?

Im a Tempurpedic fan too. Im looking at Luxe Adapt Firm myself or King Koil Brook Firm tatalay latex or FloBeds VZone. Im learning towards FloBeds because of return policy.

King Koil latex felt amazing, but I do value adjustability. So….if I were you….go with FloBeds. I will probably go with FloBeds Vzone myself. The zoned top comfort layer is so cool.

With Tempurpedic, if you want soft….go with Luxe Adapt Soft or ProAdapt Soft. Luxe Adapt series seems so conforming! Im not a fan of the LuxeBreeze or ProBreeze series because the cooling technology messes up the conforming feel. I think the Luxe Adapt Firm or Soft are the pinnacle of Tempurpedic technology.

Let me know what you do!

Try FloBeds and if you dont like it….return it. I would never buy a bed without a return policy.

Check out the softer Tempurpedics too. Another option is the Aireloom Preferred M1/M2 Luxetop Plush. Has latex in the comfort layer!

Best wishes!

John

Hi beck5879.

Sorry to hear you’re having bad luck with your current mattresses. It sounds like synthetic foams are not a match for you and your partner. Latex is definitely a cooler (but still supportive) foam that may be a much better fit.

It’s really hard for any one person to say “this is the best bed for you!” because so much of comfort and support on a mattress is subjective. As you can see in the thread, BillyIdol has no qualms with Tempurpedic beds and can comfortably sleep on their various configurations. Some people have more heat sensitivities than others, and each and every person has unique support needs (not to mention if they have lingering pain from previous injuries, arthritis, etc).

I can say that FloBeds is a great company and allows for a lot of customization. They are very knowledgable and a quick call or chat with them would allow you to build your best configuration.

You may also wish to consider the Sparrow Signature Hybrid by Nest Bedding in “plush” feel or the Owl Natural Latex also in plush.

I hope this helps give you a direction!
