How much buffer for encasement/cover?

Debating how deep of sheets and of a cover to get.

Current bed: cheapo Zinus mattress. With pillow-top type thing it measure around 11.5" as a quick measurement.

Looking to add a cheap latex 2" dunlop topper for only $129.

At ~ 13.5", can I get away with 15" deep covers/encasements? Or should I go for the deeper ones that are around 18"?

Hey zerostyle,

Welcome back and thanks for your question  !

Depends on a couple of things, primarily the overall physical measurements L x W x D after adding the latex topper as well as the materials/ construction of the covers/ encasement, you will want to consider allowance for possible shrinkage over time from washing. Also, for clarity, do the words “sheets and a cover” refer to the actual linens used for sleeping on the bed, as opposed to the words “covers/ encasement”, referring to a zippered cover for enclosing the 2" topper with your Zinus?

Thanks,
Sensei
