The Aura (with a custom topper).
Thanks. That was the mattress I was looking at alongside the duke. I was looking at the aura because a friend of mine has it and said it was nice and soft. What did you not like about it? Was it too soft?
@Yossi We bought the number 2 mattress for our disabled son and he loves it. He also suffers from spinal arthritis and has been sleeping quite well on the number 2 which is something we have been unable to find with mattresses we bought for him from other mattress companies (tempur, vispring, harrison spinks) but if I had to point out one tiny drawback it’s the height. I can’t blame winston’s for this as they did offer to make it a lower height for us and we knew the height before buying it.
Everything is down to the individual so my mileage may vary. Were you looking for a new mattress for yourself btw?
@ski23 Yes we have a small holiday cottage in cornwall and wanted to put in a soft mattress for ourselves and extended family because most of them weigh between 50-70 kilograms. A friend of mine has the aura mattress and swears it’s nice and soft and he absolutely loves it but then as you say it depends on the person as you find it firm. We already have for our home the sherwood and no2 which are great so I’m not worried about the quality or service but it’s always good to see other people’s point of view on different mattresses. We are not too worried if it’s a little firm that will sort it’s self out just don’t want it to be too soft as I have spondylolisthesis so I can’t be sinking too far in.
Yea it isn’t an issue of sinking in too far from my experience. I’m 70kg and my wife is 90kg and it was bit too firm for us.
That’s very helpful to know. Thanks
