TLDR: Purchased a Talalay Bliss Beautiful Mattress in 2013. Great mattress, loved it. But it developed body dents larger than the manufacturer’s disclosed amount of 3/4". I sent them an email, asking about it because it had a 15 year warranty on it. They sent me back a form to fill out and I took photos. They sent a reply email that they were replacing it for me. YAY!! Really soooo much easier than I expected. Anyway, new one coming today…very excited! However, I now have this older latex that the delivery co won’t take. I don’t live in a state where the Bye Bye Mattress will work. So, what are my options?? I’m guessing not many people want a dented latex mattress so selling isn’t probably an option. But are there places to recycle latex? Most recycle mattresses places talk about wood and coils.
I also just had another thought - can I cut it down to twin size and give it to my teen, who wants a new mattress anyway? Or would that cause too much instability in it to be usable?
