I can't find these Serta Models ANYWHERE else on the internet. I need help !

Hi everyone, I want to get a new mattress as I finally got my new apartment.

I came upon a local (Greece) sale on a site with three brands, Serta included.
That is a US brand that I found it’s been in the industry for a long time so I guess they are good?

They have these PerfectSleep mattresses and I see here the V-shape and the V-Fresh models, that’s their names. But I CAN’T FIND these anywhere! Not a review not even on the Serta website! (to check on pros cons etc.)

This sale is only for three days, and here are all the available mattresses (entos.gr/el/sleepy-days)

If anyone has knowledge of mattresses and can help me out it will be extremely appreciated! :side:

Thank you!! Be safe.

Hi Kou.

Welcome to our Mattress Forum.

Congratulations on your new apartment!

I’m not sure where you are in your research for a new mattress, but some resources you may find useful in this experience are the Mattress Durability Guidelines as well as our Mattress Shopping Tutorial and how to find a great mattress retailer.

I did some investigating and did find the V-shape here. It’s not uncommon for certain models to be available in a specific geographical area, but I can see how it is inconvenient! I also found the V fresh on the same site.

We generally avoid recommending the large name brands for a number of reasons, but I’m unfamiliar with the mattress industry in Greece or what, if any, quality local brand would be available to you.

As for the sales, giving in to a sense of urgency because of a sale may do more harm than good when it comes to the suitability or even price. Sales come and go and some of them seem to last forever, in our opinion, they are mostly fake and are about the illusion of saving money than they are about reality. While it’s not possible to make a blanket statement about sales because each retailer or manufacturer can be different, I would keep in mind that the better manufacturers and retailers don’t generally have “fake sales” based on the time of year or holidays.

A good retailer or manufacturer won’t need to rely on “fake sales” or other tricks to create a false sense of urgency but would create the space for their customers to do some informed comparison shopping and make a good decision based on facts rather than stories or sales. In general, seasonal sales tend to be, on average, only about 5% higher.

Where in Greece are you?

Thank you so much for the detailed response!
(it got in my spam so I just saw it)

I understand what you note and I decided (most likely) to go with a non-springs mat.
My current is 2cm latex, high quality foam and 2cm latex again.

The one I want now is 4cm latex, 2cm memory foam and 17cm foam.

You can take a look here Χειροποίητο Στρώμα Memory Trinity™ Premium Plus

They say it’s a local manufacturer, made in Greece. I live in Thessaloniki. I guess the pricing is better due to that. Not sure if it’s overall good though. What do you think about this combo of materials?

Thank you for your kind wished and help!!

Hi Kou.

I’ve always wanted to visit Thessaloniki! Maybe once things with the pandemic calm down, I will be able to make that trip.

It sounds like you have a good set up for your current mattress. Do you find it to be comfortable and supportive to sleep on?

I think the configuration of the mattress you have shared is perfectly fine. What I wish I knew is the density of the 2 cm of memory foam and 17 cm of non latex foam. Do you think they would be willing to give you that information?

According to our Mattress Durability Guidelines you ideally want to be seeking out memory foam that is a 4 lb density per cubic foot, and for polyfoam you would be looking for 1.8 lb density.

It would be helpful if they would be willing to share those foam densities with you!
NikkiTMU

Oh really? That’s awesome! Come and visit, there are some things you will certainly enjoy

The memory is actually 4cm with 50kg/m3 which is 3.1lbs/ft3 as I see. And the 17cm foam is 2.5 lbs/ft3 (40 kg/m3).

I checked the guidelines yeah.
Thus the memory foam seems a little under huh. While the foam being great.

The pricing is 490€ for a 160x200cm mattress. Do you think that’s reasonable?
It states the memory foam as “3rd generation” and the foam as Comfort Foam. Not sure if this is just marketing or have actual meaning.

I am very happy and comfortable with the one I got already yeah. I prefer it over springs.

Thank you very much for your help!

Hi Kou.

Thanks for sharing! It is a little under, which means you may not get as long of a lifespan out of your comfort layer as you might hope for.

But if the layers are not glued together, you could simply replace the 2 cm of memory foam with a new 2 cm layer later. Because it is so similar to your current mattress, it’s very possible you’d be happy with this mattress.

NikkiTMU

Hmmm… I see. While the foam is great, right? Given your recommendation numbers.

It also has a 15-year warranty, being a no-springs mattress, they say it lasts for many many years.

I just got it, as it seems to be fine for its money, and I think it will be comfortable.
(in the one I already got is glued, so that should be too)

Thanks for the help!! I appreciate it

Hi Kou.

You are very welcome. I look forward to any future updates you may have!

NikkiTMU

Hi! I also have the same issue!
I am trying to find reviews on these specific mattresses but I can find nothing online.
Did you buy any of these from Entos in Greece?
Thank you!
