I have been reading the Forum articles and reviews over the past week and have been overwhelmed and impressed with the amount of content this site provides. Fortunately, I live within 20 miles of Quality Sleep Shop and will be visiting their showroom/store later today.
I hate to admit this, but I have been sleeping on a nearly 20-year old Sealy Ortho Zone Plush Queen mattress and have known for quite sometime that I have not been getting a good night’s sleep. In fact, I rarely am able to sleep through the night and lately have been feeling the coils pressing into my back. I am SO eager to get into the showroom and test out a number of options in my price range (under $1,000 or so).
I will definitely share my experience with the Forum following my visit to Quality Sleep Shop. Again, thank you very much for everything you do in providing important information. I will definitely promote The Mattress Underground to friends and colleagues.
First I want to say thanks for directing me to such a great mattress store. Having put in several hours reading articles on this site, I am glad that I did not waste time going to the big box mattress retailers, and instead went directly to Quality Sleep Shop. It was a short 25 minute drive from downtown Chicago.
Upon arriving, Amber was super friendly and she was focused on my satisfaction, and not on simply closing just another sale. She answered my questions and explained how their mattresses are constructed in detail. After laying down on about 4 of their mattresses, I selected the “Emily Pillow Top” mattress. I decided to choose this mattress with a Wool and Bamboo cover for an additional $60. And, The Mattress Underground 5% discount covered the $50 delivery fee.
As I was getting ready to purchase the mattress, Tim Masters, Quality’s owner arrived and I explained that I was initially directed to his store through The Mattress Underground to which he seemed very pleased. He showed me the various components used in the construction of this mattress and informed me that the “Emily Pillow Top” mattress is one of their best selling mattresses.
He indicated that the mattress should be arriving next Tuesday and I was also informed that their warranty now includes a 90-Day Sleep Guarantee, which makes me feel even better about this purchase.
I’ll be sure to add additional comments once the mattress arrives and I’ve had some time to sleep on this new mattress.
