In The Market For A New Adjustable Bed

I have come back for advice as this place was a huge help and source of valuable information when I went shopping for a new mattress and adjustable bed in Fall 2017

I bought the Leggett & Platt Prodigy 2.0 and I believe it was their top of the line model back in 2017.

I am in the market for a new adjustable bed frame because my bed has started behaving in an increasingly wonky way as often the head part doesn’t actually go down but that all of a sudden it does or goes down after I get out of bed and slightly push it down.

Or it doesn’t respond to the remote but then it does.

In general it’s been fine but the lack of support for the iPhone App is really appalling. It was always problematic as it periodically lost connection and the bed had to be unplugged but about two years ago they stopped upgrading it so it no longer works at all.

Money is no object as I am looking for the best most reliable fully featured bed.

I want the wall hugger feature and also admit that the massage aspect is quite nice as it seems to lull me to sleep - not that it replaces a massage.

I would want a Queen size adjustable bed frame and it is being used with a combination latex and high density foam mattress which is marvelous and (knock on wood) still seems to be in great shape with no dents or sagging.

Should I just go with the Leggett & Platt Prodigy or is there a better choice. I am assuming that the size of the actual platform of the L&P bed frame would be the same which is something that I worry about in terms of fitting into my “decorative” bed frame which has side rails and head and foot board.

Should I worry that Leggett & Platt are going out of business and the bed will be orphaned?

Hey Amarante,

One of the nicest, reasonably priced adjustable bases, with wall saver design, massage, under bed lighting is the yawnder5 adjustable base. The yawnder 6 has the feature too, but the 5 has all the bells and whistles you will really need. The yawnder5/ergomotion rio 5 is sturdy and heavy, but falls under the shipping weigth plateau, and is more convenient and shipper friendly in the queen. @yawnder is also a Trusted Member, so you will get the additional promo for TMU subscribers.

Best of luck. I bought my MiL the yawnder4, she is 87 and loves it. It lacks the wall saving feature, but quite frankly, you would never know it.
