From what I’ve read, it seems it is not. If it is not, do you know if it’s treated with any toxic chemicals? I am looking for the purest and cleanest mattress possible. If I’m going to spend $2000 for a mattress, I want to make sure it’s nearly perfect. I don’t understand why a company would use all organic materials except for the wool batting. I also don’t understand why many companies aren’t upfront about the specs of their products on their websites.
I’m not sure, but I’ve been noticing it’s a common wool used in organic mattresses. I’ve heard it has a special crimping process to make it more fluffy but I’m still doing research.
Hi JM,
You can learn more about Joma Wool directly from the brand itself.. Looks like they are OEKO-TEX and Oritain verified.
“Organic” as a label is also very expensive so many products that may go above and beyond the organize check list of expectations choose not to seek out and maintain that certification.
Organic doesn’t guarantee chemical free, either. Just…different chemicals.
Because they know an educated consumer can pick their product apart! Some also choose to hide aspects for competitive/proprietary reasons, though.
