Is there a "find your perfect mattress" app?! (or, please point me to a couple of online retailers)

There is so much fabulous info on this site but it is so overwhelming and not presented in an easy to search fashion… I actually have a pretty good idea what I want, but it feels like I have to sift through hundreds of pages to find the options that meet my criteria to make a reasonable comparison. I wish someone would put all of this data into a “find my mattress” app!

In lieu of an app, can someone please help point me in the right direction?

I want to buy online a king-sized (or 2 twin) 100% latex or hybrid coil/latex mattress (no PU). At this point, price is not a major constraint.

I must have an easy return/exchange option. I don’t mind paying a fee for the return or exchange; the ease of the process is more important than the cost.

Two side/back sleepers who move a lot, both a little over 200lbs. I like the feel of a soft memory foam and/or pillowtop, with a very firm but not rock hard underlayer. I like a “cooler” mattress with medium response speed in the top layer (not too slow, but doesn’t need to be super fast). Flippable/double sided is preferred but I suppose not strictly required.

We’re currently on our second Ikea foam mattress (I think the current one is a 2019 Myrbacka, firm without the gel option). We loved it when we first got it but it cratered relatively quickly and is now painful and no longer supportive. We tried a Purple a few years ago and hated it - overall too soft, but felt like a weird too-thick too-soft layer on top of a rock hard layer.

Can anyone please suggest a couple of online retailers where I should focus my search? Thank you!!

Welcome to the community. Although a bit confused by your post, shifting from all latex, to latex hybrid, with no PU, then referring to the Idea that you loved until it created.

First there are some folks here on TMU that are Trusted Members who can create a mattress customized for your preferences. They can craft a mattress of all latex, latex hybrid, with no PU if that is your preference. Most all latex are generally one sided, but there are that can be made as a flippable option, although, as an all latex composition may be a heavy proposition to flip. You many want to focus on a hybrid for that option. Even then, if the latex mattress is designed in a way it can be modified, any compromises it may encounter down the road can easily be remedied.

I would encourage you to look at @CST for their very varied amount of options and customizing available in their all Talalay mattress configurations. @FloBeds is another all Talalay mattress manufacturer. You have some that offer both, all latex and hybrids customized to your preferences, @EuropeanSleep, @Arizona_Premium, @Sleep_EZ and @SuiteSleep all can design exactly what you are looking for. Others like @TheCleanBedroom, @My_Green_Mattress and @CozyPure offer mattresses that can suit your needs.

I could easily list every TM here at TMU that would craft you a high-quality, durable, and long-lasting mattress. The important thing isn’t relying on an app to randomly suggest what might work for you. While these apps can certainly serve as a guide to a manufacturer’s mattress lineup and how they may align with your preferences, a conversation with an experienced mattress professional is the best way to guide you to the right choice. These experts handle situations like yours daily and receive feedback from people just like you every single day.

There are companies out there that do have profile matching apps. One of my favorite is Shifman. They have been making mattresses for over 100 years, and make mattresses the same way they have been making them with quality materials. So, if you want to see an example of an app that might lead you to a beautifully made and designed luxury mattress, Shifman is an example of this type of app.
