Hi Phoenix,
Eventually I plan on getting the Ultimate Dreams 13" Gel Memory Foam bed, but in the meantime I think I should upgrade my frame ASAP as my box spring is in bad shape and I’m hoping it will make my current innerspring mattress a little more bearable. The frame I am planning on for the Ultimate Dreams is here: Amazon.com I would also be using it for a little bit with my regular mattress, sans box spring. Do you know anything about it?
Thanks,
Jeremiah
Hi Jeremiah,
I have no personal experience with the Handy living but a forum search on “handy living” (you can just click this) will bring up the forum comments about it. Overall it wouldn’t be my first choice.

Okay, thanks. What would you choose between these two?

I know you say that the best option is usually to go with the manufacturer’s own frame, but theirs has 9 wires while Malouf’s has 10. Malouf’s is also a little less expensive. Does it matter?
Hi Jeremiah,
They are certainly similar but if they are not the same (sometimes it’s hard to see all the wires) then I would tend to choose the one with the smallest surface grid and the most longitudinal wires.
The suggestion to go with a manufacturers suggestion is because it’s usually a “safe” choice but for those who want to do the extra research and can find a better option (most people normally choose a cheaper option rather than a better one) then of course the one that appears to be the better quality / value choice is the direction I would go.
