Does latex soften or “break in” after awhile? I thought that it was supposed to remain the same firmness as the day you bought it. I am just curious - my 3 month old blended latex mattress does seem ever so slightly softer in the spots we sleep than on the edges of the bed.

All foam materials will have some initial softening or break in over the first few weeks when they lose any of their initial “false firmness”. In the case of latex though it would generally be less than other types of foam and after the initial break in period then further softening will also be more gradual and over a longer period of time than other types of foam as well.
