Latex for Guest Rooms?

After perusing the very helpful forums, I am leaning towards latex mattresses for 3 guest bedrooms. The sleepers will of course vary in size, weight and sleep style, and latex seems like the best way to go. Am I thinking about this correctly?

Thanks.

Hi leftax,

There isn’t any correct or incorrect when it comes to guest rooms because each person’s circumstances and budget …and the guests that sleep there … may be very different.

One suggestion though that may be worth considering would be to get a basic firm mattress for each room and then add a different topper on each one (or example a couple of latex toppers with a different firmness level and a memory foam topper) so your guest will have a choice of 4 different sleeping systems when they visit (the basic mattress by itself or with any of the three toppers on top of it).

Just ordered my first latex mattress from Dreamfoam Bedding (through Amazon). Seems like a good hypo-allergenic option for multiple guests and the middle firmness will probably make everyone happy. There are certainly cheaper ways to go for mattresses, but Dreamfoam seemed the best price-point for latex. They get nothing but great reviews and I hope that I will become one of those by next week!

Hi wclify33,

I think you made a great quality/value choice … and congratulations on your new mattresses

A midrange firmness level would also be a good choice for most people.

I’m looking forward to your feedback when you receive them.

After getting off my old mattress this morning…I am even happier that they said they would make it the same day and hopefully ship it today. Thanks for running this site, it is really helpful!
