I’ve been shopping around for a new mattress and have been looking at the Berkeley Ergonomics Berlin Hybrid (Extra-Firm). https://www.tmasc.ca/products/berkeley-ergonomics-berlin-mattress?variant=37492843217054
Just looking for some thoughts and opinions or possible another suggestion. I strongly prefer latex hybrids and will not accept anything with non-latex foams/gels. I am a back/side sleeper with a strong preference for very firm mattresses. I really with this had multizone for extra hip support but I can’t seem to find any alternatives with an adequate coil gauge.
Hey VorpalSpark.
Welcome to our Mattress Forum.
In terms of durability, the Berkeley looks solid. Is your preference for hybrids due to the extra firmness that coils generally offer?
Or is it more about the bounce?
If you’re open to all-latex, Flobeds (@FloBeds) Big & Tall and vZone mattresses are worth a look.
For a semi DIY, Ken at @Arizona_Premium (Arizona Premium) may be able to help you configure something a bit more to your liking re: hip support.

It’s firmness and bounce I like. I actually looked at Flobeds with a lot of interest but they’re just out of my budget right now. I didn’t realize Arizona shipped to Canada, could definitely be an option.
Hey again!
I’m pretty sure AZ Premium still ships to Canada - definitely reach out.
@MFC is Canada based and has a number of latex DIY and non-DIY options that are certainly worth a look as well.
