I’m looking for a quality Latex Hybrid mattress that has 14 gauge coils or thicker for support. Currently, I’m considering mattresses by Arizona, Luma, SleepEZ, and Mattress Makers. I feel a little overwhelmed. All I’m looking for is a good value mattress with latex and coils. Any help would be appropriated. Thanks.
Sorry to hear you’ve been hit by “analysis paralysis.” It does sound like you know what you want and that you have narrowed your options down to 4 really great manufacturers.
Is there something in specific that has you stuck between the four of them? We’d be happy to help try and work it out with you!
I’d love to get to know a little more about you and what you want from a mattress.
Do you prefer something soft, medium, or firm?
What is your primary sleeping position?
Do you have any health conditions that are exacerbated by a poor fitting mattress?
If you’re comfortable sharing, what is your height/weight?
Also, if you’d prefer to just jump right in with the manufacturers, I know each and every one of them would be happy to have the ever-important conversation with you to discuss your stats, body type, sleeping styles, general preferences and history, some general information about your current mattress, or what you have tested, and any other specific information or circumstances that could affect your choice of a mattress so they can help you choose which may be your best fit from their inventory.
Yes, I am 5’8, 180 lbs. I tend to go to sleep on my side, but move to stomach during the night and wake up on my back. Lol, I guess I move around a lot. I have a few joint injuries that I’m nursing, both in my knee and shoulder. I was in a motorcycle accident recently also. I’ve only slept on spring mattresses until now and I’m looking for something a little more pressure relieving, while having support. Thanks.
Thanks for the additional details! Sorry to hear you were in a motorcycle accident - and glad that you’re ultimately okay.
For Arizona Premium, the Ultimate Hybrid sounds like it fits what you are looking for. It’s hard for me to tell you whether you need plush/medium/firm support as I cannot feel what you feel on a mattress, but Ken (the owner) would be a great resource for you here in helping you choose which firmness level would suit your needs best.
Looking at Luma the Natural Latex Hybrid seems to meet your requirements. Again, you’d want to have a chat with a representative to help you choose the firmness of your comfort layer. This set up also has a transition layer between the coils and comfort layer, which works to help you sink in enough to help with pressure relief and also help keep you from sinking down too far and causing back issues.
The Sleep EZ Select Sleep hybrid is flippable. It has a plush side and a firm side. This can be really useful…unless what you need is a medium firmness in which case this may be one to rule out. That said, they also have their all-latex configuration which is a medium-plush feel on one side.
Mattress Makers also offers innerspring designs in plush/medium/firm options. They are beautifully made and they also make custom mattresses.
I’m not sure if breaking down these comparisons has helped you clarify anything, but I certainly hope it has!
