I have a 4- layer stack Foam Sweet Foam latex purchased June 2022. All Dunlop. I have the zip around all wool Green cover for it. I used to have the waterproof cover on it until very recently but took it off to air it out. Now, there is a an extremely strong smell of latex filling my entire bedroom and sitting area, which is quite large. It’s really strong and unpleasant. I’ve had the windows open for days and I’m even running an air purifier now and an overhead fan. Why is the mattress giving off this strong of an odor when it’s not old? Any solution or suggestions?

If I understand you correctly, the smell became noticeable after you took off the waterproof cover.
The wool cover is more porous and would let more of the smell, if any, through - I would think. The waterproof cover is probably not as breathable and that would be why you just noticed it now.
One solution we have recommended for our latex mattresses is to sprinkle baking soda on and leave for a few hours - then vacuum it off.
I would suggest that you contact Foam Sweet Foam and get suggestions from them. I know that the latex we sell needs to breathe, so we are careful about waterproof encasements, but I cannot speak for Foam Sweet Foam.
