Latex Mattress Frame 2

I have a platform bed frame. I realize latex mattress’s are supposed to be on slats for circulation. Can I put slats on top of the platform or put a coconut mat under the mattress on top of the platform? Would either of these be sufficient for circulation/ preventing mold, mildew?

Latex can be placed on a foundation platform, slats (3" or less preferred) and a coir mat.

While it is true that latex is naturally mold resistant, ANY humid or wet environment can develop mold on the surface.

Maintain a dry bedroom environment. Use a dehumidifier or air conditioner if necessary to control humidity levels.

Keep the mattress clean and rotate it regularly to ensure even wear and reduce moisture buildup in one spot.

Consider using a breathable, waterproof mattress protector to safeguard against spills or accidents.

Just be smart and maintain the mattress and enjoy it.

Some people drill holes in the platform for circulation - but you may not want to do that to your platform bed.
Maverick has it right - slats (3" or less) is best, coir mat is helpful in addition.

Something like this would probably allow more airflow than coir. Not a natural product though.
