Latex Mattress Questions

Thanks for your question to the TMU forum .

We are in the process of buying a king sized latex bed…We are contemplating whether or not we should buy a split bed so that we can customize it later on. We think soft/medium/firm 3 inch layers will work for the both of us. (me 5’9 180 lbs spouse is 5’2 120 lbs).

For clarity, what are you referring to as a “split” king size bed? Are you getting 2 twin xls or a king size mattress in separate pieces for a DIY project? Noticed this question today as a different topic on expert member Sleep EZ’s forum as"Help with Mattress Purchase post #1". Would like to hear their thoughts on your concerns as they have deep experience and understanding of both latex and individual comfort customization.
