Latex or Hybrid

Desperately searching for the right mattress after too many sleepless nights on my memory foam mattress.

I am normally 170lbs, pregnant atm, side sleeper/toss and turner and run hot. I like a firmer mattress but I think I need a bit softer for side sleeping, developed tendonitis in my shoulder. My husband is 6’5, 250, back sleeper. Also need good edge support. Given that information and switching to a greener king mattress, I have been l looking at latex or hybrid latex beds around 2k. Currently narrowed to the below.

https://sleepez.com/products/organic-latex-mattress - I like the customization and I believe it would be the most durable given our weight

Best Organic Mattress | 100% Certified Organic | Avocado Green Mattress® - my sister has this one and I slept great on it for a week but worried about sagging and durability being a hybrid

Finch Natural Latex Mattress - Nest Bedding – Nest Bedding® - I like the look of the finch or possibly the Owl | Natural Latex Hybrid but not sure on their layers, could take away from the latex feel.

Hi CBing.

Welcome to our Mattress Forum.

Thanks for sharing your stats and concerns with us. So sorry your memory foam mattress is not allowing you to have supportive and comfortable sleep!

All three of the mattresses you shared are quality, durable products.

Hybrid mattresses are not less durable by nature. Innersprings are rarely the weak link in a mattress and are designed to support 250 lbs on both sides of the mattress without issue.

Is your current mattress all foam, or is it also a hybrid?

The upside to a hybrid is that the coils allow for better airflow and help hot sleepers like yourself sleep cooler on the mattress.

SleepEZ and Nest Bedding are Trusted Members of The Mattress Underground meaning we think very highly of them and believe they compete with among the best in the mattress industry.

The Avocado mattress you shared is a quality, durable product as well which you have a real-life data point for in terms of having already slept on it. You could take this knowledge and call SleepEZ/Nest and explain your stats to them as well as what you liked about the Avocado mattress and they would be able to help you decide if their products would be a fit for you, your preferences, etc.

I’m not entirely understanding your doubt here about the Finch mattress. Could you clarify?
