In mattress paralysis after months of research; I am a 125 lb 5ft 3in woman side sleeper looking for a new king mattress with a budget of about $1500. I’ve slept on bob-o-pedic memory foams the last 10+ years and ready for an upgrade.
Narrowed down to a soft or medium/soft hybrid memory foam or latex mattress. I like the feel of soft-medium hybrid mattresses in store (specifically Molecule Hybrid), however there are no stores near me to test latex. SleepEZ hybrid mattress (one side soft, one firm) is the top of my list in terms of latex. Any help or guidance would be appreciated!
Thanks in advance

I imagine shopping for a mattress as a shrimp can be quite difficult!
Okay, okay. Enough of my jokes.
This budget for a king bed does eliminate quite a few options; however, at your height and weight you’re unlikely to experience foam failure on even budget-range mattresses simply because your body won’t break the foam down as quickly so - not an impossible feat.
In that case, you may like:
The @HelixSleep Sunset mattress or Moonlight mattress
Or @BrooklynBedding’s Signature Hybrid or the non-pillow top option as well.
This is a great bed, as well. The difference between latex and memory foam is often described as the difference between angel food cake and pound cake. Latex tends to “push back” so that you sleep floating on top of the mattress where as memory and other foams tend to sink in, so you sleep “in” the mattress. Because you are a lighter weight, you would likely need a very soft layer of latex to sink into it. However, Shawn at @Sleep_EZ is incredibly knowledgable and could tell you for sure what he thinks would be a fit for you, should you pursue a latex option.
